On the morning of April 16, at the editorial office of Thanh Nien Newspaper, a representative from Nam Kim Steel Joint Stock Company (Nam Kim Steel – located in Dong An 2 Industrial Park, Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province) donated 300 million VND to support frontline pandemic prevention forces.

Mr. Quang Trong Lang, Deputy General Director of Nam Kim Steel, shared, “For many months, frontline pandemic prevention forces including doctors, military personnel, and volunteers have worked tirelessly day, and night to combat the pandemic. We deeply appreciate their sacrifices. Responding to Thanh Nien Newspaper’s call, we wish to contribute in our own small way to ease their difficulties. This is just a small gesture towards the nationwide pandemic prevention efforts.”
According to Mr. Lang, Nam Kim Steel is fortunate to specialize in the production of steel, and steel pipes with automated production lines. Workers operate machines with over 2 meters of distance between them, ensuring compliance with social distancing requirements. Additionally, during the period of social distancing, office staff have been flexible in working, and conducting online meetings. Therefore, the company’s more than 1,300 employees have not been significantly affected, which is fortunate for the company. “In addition to supporting our workers in their pandemic prevention efforts, our participation in Thanh Nien Newspaper’s Covid-19 prevention solidarity program is our way of contributing to society and the community. We hope that our small contribution will provide more strength, and energy to the frontline pandemic prevention forces,” shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhi, Chairwoman of the Nam Kim Trade Union.
Upon receiving the donation of 300 million VND, and the heartfelt sentiments from Nam Kim Steel, representatives of Thanh Nien Newspaper expressed sincere gratitude to the company, and stated that they will soon plan to distribute this amount to frontline pandemic prevention forces across the country.
