On July 28, 2026, Nam Kim Steel marked a new milestone with the successful export of 12,500 tons of Cold-Rolled Annealed (CR – Annealed) steel. This was the first shipment of this product line to be directly exported from the Nam Kim Phu My Steel Plant to the Brazilian market.
The shipment marks an important milestone in the operation of the plant, demonstrating Nam Kim Steel’s ability to master advanced technologies, manufacture higher value-added steel products, and gradually expand the presence of Vietnamese steel in markets with stringent technical requirements.
Nam Kim Phu My Steel Plant: Advanced Technology for High-Quality Steel Production
The Nam Kim Phu My Steel Plant operates an integrated and highly automated production system, including the Pickling Line Tandem Cold Mill (PLTCM), Continuous Annealing Line (CAL), Continuous Galvanizing Line (CGL) for galvanized and aluminum-zinc alloy coated steel, Color Coating Line (CCL), and Annealing and Coating Line (ACL)for electrical steel.
The integrated and highly automated system enables Nam Kim Steel to maintain control throughout the production process, from hot-rolled steel to higher value-added steel products. This helps ensure consistent quality, optimize production efficiency, strengthen competitiveness, and support sustainable development in line with the trend toward green steel.
Nam Kim Steel’s current product portfolio includes Pickled & Oiled (PO) steel, Full Hard Cold-Rolled (CRFH) steel, Cold-Rolled Annealed (CR – Annealed) steel, Hot-Dip Galvanized (GI) steel, Aluminum-Zinc Alloy Coated (GL) steel, and Pre-Painted Galvanized/Aluminum-Zinc Coated (PPGI/PPGL) steel.
Products are strictly controlled in terms of chemical composition, mechanical properties, thickness accuracy, flatness, surface quality, and formability.
